Hello friends,

Our annual Mentor Appreciation gathering took place this past Tuesday. What a wonderful time spent with wonderful people! Read more about it and see some of the photos HERE. Remember that our mentor challenge for this next year is for each of you to find one more volunteer who is as good or better than you.

A huge "Thank You" to Larry and Linda Whiting from Mission Aviation Fellowship for sponsoring The Mentoring Network and for providing the wonderful tour of their facility.

Special thanks to the donors who provided baskets and items for us to raffle/auction off for kids’ scholarships: Honey Goodman with Treasure Valley Hospice, Lucio Morales with At Your Service Home Care, Chad Skidmore with Integra Telcom, Caldwell YMCA, Sharon Frost, Senator Melinda Smyser and Skip Smyser, and Margaret Lee. Summer day camp registration will come coming soon! Please start talking with your mentees to see if they might be interested. We will send information on what were are doing in the near future!

Thank you to Nampa Chamber of Commerce for allowing The Mentoring Network to present at their annual volunteer luncheon. Their continual support and encouragement is a blessing to the children of our community.

We will be participating in the Nampa Rotary Club’s Annual Dog Walk, to be held on June 2, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A huge number of local residents bring their dogs for a beautiful morning walk around downtown Nampa starting at the Nampa Civic Center.  Paws 4 a Cause will benefit The Mentoring Network and the Nampa Rotary Club.  Cost is $25 if enrolled by May 26, 2012.  To register online, please click HERE and choose The Mentoring Network when it asks what charity you would like to support. NOTE – You register your dog, and can bring your entire family for just the price of the dog!
