July 13th was our summer day camp for youth 12 and older. We had a marvelous time as the kids interacted with their mentors and enjoyed some time on the Payette River. We could try to sum up the day for you-our mentees and mentors can do a much better job of it though! Here is some of what they shared:
“I had a lot of fun and could do it again. I saw someone fall off in a really big wave and I found a skull of a large squirrel. I’m so thankful to be here. My favorite thing was the bull ride on the raft. I think of everyone here as family. I love everyone.” ~Mentee
“It means so much to me to get to spend the day with some amazing people.” ~Mentee
“Thanks to everyone who made this happen!” ~Mentee

You can feel the excitement in their words, you can see it in their faces…it doesn’t get much better than this. It is so fun when we get to share moments like these-as part of The Mentoring Network.
